WOMEN’S HALL OF FAME – March 24, 2016
Nomination Criteria/Timeline
Nominees must be women who: Live and/or work in Contra Costa County, or Have played an integral part in the development and/or implementation of project(s) that have benefited Contra Costa County
NOTE: Members of the Contra Costa County Commission for Women (Commission) and the Board of Supervisors are not eligible for nomination.
Nominees have shown excellence as:
Women Demonstrating LeadershipDisplaying leadership and or innovation in business and community while serving as a role model
Women Creating Community
Contributing to the quality of life in Contra Costa by supporting the personal and social growth of others
Women Working for Justice
Striving for equality and peace
Women Preserving the Environment
Actively working to protect natural resources
Women Improving Health Care
Educating, conducting research, or providing health care
Women Contributing to the Arts
Promoting the expression of the performing arts, visual arts, and literary arts
Women Innovating in Science/Technology
Educating, inventing, or developing technology
Nominees should excel in one of the above categories
Tips for completing the nomination form:
- Respond to all questions
- Keep the selection criteria in mind and address them when answering the questions
- Keep answers short, concise, and clear
- Tell the nominee’s story as if you were telling a stranger. Do not assume the judges will know the nominee. (Judges are selected from outside Contra Costa County)
- Please use the space provided for your answers
- Nominee may not be nominated in more than one category
- Nomination Packets are due to the Commission by November 30, 2015
- Names of the Honorees to be announced in early January 2016
- Press/Honorees Orientation in January 2016 (specific date to be determined)
- Hall of Fame Awards Dinner on March 24, 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Concord

AWARDS WILL NOT BE PRESENTED IN CATEGORIES WHERE FEWER THAN THREE NOMINATIONS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED
