The Women in Leadership program is a series of panel and roundtable discussions presented by the Contra Costa Commission for Women

aimed at supporting gender equality and opportunities for women in the workplace. Our goal is to raise awareness in Contra Costa County, provide a call to action to organizations and businesses to close the leadership gap, and to encourage and empower women.

This program was inspired by the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women’s

Gender Equality Principles Initiative, a groundbreaking project undertaken to help businesses achieve greater gender equality and build more productive workplaces. *(For more information about the San Francisco’s GEP, please visit http://www.genderprinciples.org/.)
Future panel discussions will focus on: • Employment and compensation• Work-life balance and career development • Health, safety, and freedom from violence • Management and governance • Business, supply chain, and marketing practices • Civic and community engagement • Leadership, transparency and accountability

• Entrepreneurship for women
